I was born in Berlin, NH in 1949. Shortly after my birth, my father returned to military service due to the Korean conflict. We moved west finding ourselves in California in 1952. Due to my father's transfer to Korea and an earthquake in California, my mother decided to take the family to Arizona for the duration of my father's stay overseas. My parents eventually fell in love with Arizona and so I ended up spending most of my youth in the state. I am one of the few clergy alumni of Regina Cleri Seminary, now Regina Cleri Center. After high school, I entered St. John's Seminary College in Camarillo, CA for eight years of training. I was ordained at Ft. Huachuca in June of 1975. My first assignment as a priest was at St. Monica parish in Tucson. I also served as associate pastor at Our Mother of Sorrows parish also in Tucson. In 1980 I was appointed pastor of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Mammoth, AZ. I remained here until transferred to work with the Diocesan television station in 1983. I worked there as chief engineer (they found out I had a commercial radio license) with my residence at St. Elizabeth Seton parish until 1987 when I came to St. Bartholomew parish as pastor upon the retirement of Msgr. Loyola O'Doughtery. As of September 1 of 2004, I was appointed pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Benson, AZ. From July 1,2008 until July 2010 I was also appointeed co-vocation director for the Diocese of Tucson. I was also Vicar Forane of the Cochise Vicariate and as of July 1, 2014 the pastor of Our Lady of the Mountains Parish in Sierra Vista. As of July 1, 2020, I am officially retired from parish duties, however, I will be working with the Newly Ordained Priests' mentoring program, the marriage tribunal and helping the area parishes by celebrating masses as needed. I enjoy especially preaching and reading scripture. My hobbies include computers; amateur (ham) radio, licensed as N7CK; and (not currently) piloting airplanes. I am a member of CARA, ARRL, Cactus-Intertie, CARBA, CARA, and the AOPA. I am also the webmaster of the Arizona Repeater Owners' Frequency Coordination Committee. |
